One Year Hybrid or Residency Master Degree on MBGPH and MPH
In collaboration with BBS, American University of Sovereign Nation (AUSN), USA, offered 13 scholarships for BBS Members in the course of MBGPH (Master of Bioethics and Global Public Health) and MPH (Master of Public Health) for the session of 2014-1015.
Upon successful progression of their degree, BBS linked another group of 10 BBS Menbers with Scholarships amount $18,000 to cover the tuition for the session of 2015-2016.
Training Workshop on Human Rights Education for Youth Leadership, 2015
Workshop on “Human Rights Education for Youth Leadership” has organized to promote strong ethical values among the young generation in their professional and social life to lead the nation for upholding human rights for long term sustainability of the Bangladesh.
A day long Workshop was held on 30 July 2015 from 9Am to 5 PM at Dhaka College. Undergraduate and graduate students of college / university of any discipline were encouraged to attend the training programme.

Art / Photography Competition, 2015
BBS organized an Art / Photography Competition 2015 on ethics to develop ethical values among young generation. The theme of the competition was “ETHICS & RESPONSIBILITY”. Responsibility towards environment, children, women, elderly and minorities were included in this competition.
Bachelor & Master of Bangladeshi students of any discipline of age between 18 to 25 years could participate in this competition.
Competition was on three categories: Fine Art, Photography & Cartoon. Size for fine art (standard art paper), photography (4-10R) or cartoon (no larger than 2.5’ x 4’) respectively. Medium of work can be Canvas, Paper or PVC.
All participants were honored by certificate. Crest and certificate were given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders through a programme. All work was be exhibited.
Guidelines for Ethical Research With Human Subjects, 2015
A 4 days course on Guidelines for Ethical Research with Human Subjects has been organized to prepare an investigator for research with human participants. Course will start from 20 – 28 March 2015, every Friday & Saturday at 2pm-5pm.
Clinical Investigators, Nurse, Dentists, Lawyers, Philosophers, Scientists, and Social Scientists can attend the course.
Following topics will be cover: Bioethics - introduction, Research ethics- medical mistakes and misconduct, Code of Ethics; Preparation for Protocol writing, informed Consent, Conflict of Interest, Fair Subject Selection, Coercion and Undue Inducement, Confidentiality, vulnerability, qualitative and quantitative research; Introduction to IRB, How to prepare a proposal for Ethical Clearance; Publication ethics- How to write an article.

Art / Picture Competition On Bioethics, 2013
Bangladesh Bioethics Society has organized an Art / Photography Competition on ethics to develop ethical values among young generation. The theme of the competition is “Ethics and life”. Sub theme are what is good and bad; capture the beauty of good behavior; appreciation of human life; discover truth about humanity and recognize the Inherent dignity. Ethical aspect of any subject matter can be included in this competition.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate Bangladeshi students of age between 18 to 25 years can participate in this competition.

SHORT COURSE ON BIOETHICS: EDUCATION AND RESEARCH
A month long course has been organized for the Members of Bangladesh Bioethics Society (BBS) by BBS in collaboration with National Academy for Education Management (NAEM), Ministry of Education. Prof Nazrul Islam, Chairman, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh will be the Chief Guest in this occation.
This course will be focus on integration of bioethical knowledge, epistemology, and ideas into research, policy making and decision making to ensure protection for human and up hold the human dignity. Participants will be taught by expert from the world and expert from Members of BBS, covering the latest information and developments in the field of bioethics. This meeting will offer a unique opportunity to establish exchange of information and regional collaboration.

Aim: The Conference will include scientific contributions from different disciplines, covering the latest information and developments in the field of bioethics. This meeting will offer a unique opportunity to further establish exchange of information and regional collaboration. Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University (DU) Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique will address the inaugural session of the conference as the Chief Guest.
Target group: It will be of interest both to the healthcare professionals, social scientists, environmentalists, lawyers, teacher trainers, ethics committee members, educators, researchers and policy makers.
Number of participants: Near about one hundred participants of balanced gender from diverse fields of interest are expected to attend the conference.
Registration: There is no registration fee but pre-registration is required. No TA/DA will be given to participants. Conference materials, morning and afternoon tea, and lunch will be provided . Applications for travel grant and accommodation may be made to the secretariat upon receipt of full written papers.
Structure of the Programme: The 2 day conference of BBS will provide an intensive interaction between people from different fields and cultures. Conference will be a combination of lectures and discussion and will be focused on contemporary gender, medico-legal, environmental and social issues. Abstracts of the participants will be disseminated by publishing in the Bangladesh Journal of Bioethics.
