Progressing Bioethics in Bangladesh for the future.

Aim: The Conference will include scientific contributions from different disciplines, covering the latest information and developments in the field of bioethics. This meeting will offer a unique opportunity to further establish exchange of information and regional collaboration. Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University (DU) Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique will address the inaugural session of the conference as the Chief Guest.
Target group: It will be of interest both to the healthcare professionals, social scientists, environmentalists, lawyers, teacher trainers, ethics committee members, educators, researchers and policy makers.
Number of participants: Near about one hundred participants of balanced gender from diverse fields of interest are expected to attend the conference.
Registration: There is no registration fee but pre-registration is required. No TA/DA will be given to participants. Conference materials, morning and afternoon tea, and lunch will be provided . Applications for travel grant and accommodation may be made to the secretariat upon receipt of full written papers.
Structure of the Programme: The 2 day conference of BBS will provide an intensive interaction between people from different fields and cultures. Conference will be a combination of lectures and discussion and will be focused on contemporary gender, medico-legal, environmental and social issues. Abstracts of the participants will be disseminated by publishing in the Bangladesh Journal of Bioethics.

Allocation of time for presentation: Speakers will get 10 minutes to complete their presentation and 5 minutes will be allowed for discussion.
